Quasi-Dynamic Analysis

Quasi-Dynamic Analysis
Time-domain unbalanced load flow analysis along with control system model is used to simulate system performance and control system interactions during load and generation variation as well as various events over a function of time.
Quasi-Dynamic-Analysis
Today’s power systems depend on renewable energy resources to meet their load demand. Energy storage systems are also integrated into power system to allow seamless integration of renewables and increase power system reliability. Both renewables and energy storage systems are typically dispatched through control systems such as power plant controller, microgrid controller or ADMS. To design, study, size assets, and determine optimal control settings, it is essential to evaluate system performance including control system during load and generation variation as well as various events over a function of time. Primary control of inverter-based resource such as Q-V control, P-V Control as well as P-Q capability limitation is considered through smart inverter control function within Quasi-Dynamic analysis. Quasi-Dynamic analysis is an option within Time-Domain Unified Load Flow Analysis.
